How you Space Pod Camper works

Introduction

Welcome to the Space Pod Campers family!

This user manual has been created to help you get the most out of your Space Pod Camper. It contains important information on setup, operation, safety, and maintenance.

Please read this manual carefully before your first use to ensure safe and enjoyable camping experiences. A downloadable PDF version of this manual is also available for your convenience.

Safety Precautions

  • Always park on a flat, stable surface before setting up the camper.
  • Never leave the camper unattended with gas appliances running.
  • Ensure all electrical systems are properly connected and maintained.
  • Test the smoke alarm regularly to ensure it functions correctly.
  • When using the drop-down table, stabilizer legs and awning, ensure they are securely fastened.

Setup & Installation

Unpacking & Inspection

  1. Upon receiving your camper, carefully unpack and inspect it for any damage or missing components.
  2. Check the exterior and interior for any scratches, dents, or issues.
  3. Report any damage to Space Pod Campers within 48 hours of delivery.

Levelling the Camper

  1. Position the camper on a flat surface (if Possible).
  2. Use the rear stabilizers and the jockey wheel to stabilize and level the camper.
  3. Check the drawbar leveller to ensure the camper is levelled.

Connecting Power Systems

  1. Ensure the 12V isolation switch is “On.”
  2. For 240V power, connect the optional 240V lead to a 15A suitable power source.
  3. Attach the Anderson plug to your vehicle for DC/DC charging.

Water System Setup

  1. Fill the water tank with clean drinking water.
  2. Ensure the water pump is connected and functional.
  3. Test the water system by turning on the tap and checking for consistent water flow.

Interior Features & Usage

Sleeping Area

  • Your Space Pod Camper is supplied with a high-density foam double mattress as standard equipment.
    Note: While it is possible to replace the supplied mattress with a spring mattress, please note that due to the door opening size, removal and refitting may be difficult..

Lighting & Power Management

Lighting within the Space Pod Camper is divided into three main areasInterior (sleeping area), Kitchen, and Awning.

Interior Lighting (Sleeping Area)

  • Seeker ST & ST Lite models:
    Interior lighting is provided via the roof fan light only.

  • Seeker LX & AT models:
    Interior lighting includes the roof fan light plus dimmable reading lights located on each side of the bed.

  • On LX & AT models, each reading light includes an integrated USB charging port.

Kitchen Lighting

  • All models are fitted with a white/amber LED kitchen light.

  • The kitchen light features a touch on/off button for easy operation.

  • The white/amber light provides practical illumination while helping reduce insect attraction.

Awning Lighting

  • All models are fitted with awning lights mounted above the side door.

  • Awning lights feature white/amber illumination and are angled to improve ground visibility around the entry area.

  • Each awning light includes a touch on/off button for simple operation.

Important Notes (All Models)

  • White and amber lighting helps reduce glare and minimise insect attraction.

  • Turn off lights when not required to conserve battery power.

Ventilation & Comfort

Ventilation within the Space Pod Camper is designed to provide airflow, comfort, and flexibility across all models.

Doors

  • All doors feature a split-door system, allowing the mesh screen to be used independently for ventilation while maintaining security, or fully closed for weather protection and privacy. Each door is fitted with Crimsafe mesh and a smoked privacy screen.

Windows (where fitted)

  • Windows are equipped with integrated fly screens and blackout blinds, allowing airflow while keeping insects out, or providing complete privacy and light control when required.

Model configuration

  • Seeker ST Lite: One door and one window

  • Seeker ST: Two doors and no windows

  • Seeker LX & AT: Two doors and two windows

Internal Fan & Roof Vent

  • The internal fan features intake and exhaust modes, allowing fresh air to be drawn in or warm air to be expelled as required.
  • The roof vent includes an internal air passage that allows limited airflow even when the top hatch is closed.
    Important: Airflow is significantly reduced when the hatch is closed. This feature should only be used under specific weather conditions (such as rain or high winds) and should not be relied upon as the primary source of ventilation.

Optional Sirocco Fans

  • Optional Sirocco fans are very quiet and feature low power consumption, making them suitable for extended or overnight use. The adjustable head allows airflow to be directed to multiple areas, providing flexible and targeted ventilation throughout the camper.

Condensation Prevention Tip

To reduce condensation inside the camper, maintain airflow by using the internal fan and opening a door or window slightly, especially overnight or in cold weather. Moisture buildup during sleeping is normal and can be minimised with regular ventilation..

Storage Solutions

  • Overhead cupboards, large cabin cupboards, and sidewall elastic pockets are available for storing items.

Exterior Features & Usage

Awning Setup & Usage

  1. Unfold the awning from the storage rack.
  2. Secure the awning arms and ensure proper tensioning.
  3. Attach optional side walls for privacy and weather protection.

Stabilizers & Drawbar Leveller

  • Use rear stabilizers and jockey wheel to keep the camper stable.
  • Fine-tune levelling with the drawbar leveller.

External Power & Utilities

  • External USB and cigarette plug outlets are under the awning for powering lights or charging devices.
  • The lockable drop-down table can be used for meal prep. Ensure it is securely fastened.

Electrical & Utility Systems

Power Management System (LX & AT Models).

LX and AT models are fitted with a Projecta PM335C Power Management System, operated via a 4-inch Projecta colour display. This integrated system manages all onboard power sources and distributes power safely throughout the camper.

System functions

The Projecta PM335C system manages and monitors:

  • 12V lithium battery charging and protection

  • Solar input from the roof-mounted solar panel

  • Vehicle charging via the Anderson plug (DC/DC charging)

  • 240V AC input when connected to a suitable external power source

  • Distribution of power to onboard 12V and 240V circuits

The system automatically prioritises available power sources to ensure efficient and safe operation.

Display & monitoring

The 4-inch Projecta display allows users to easily monitor:

  • Battery charge level and voltage

  • Active charging source (solar, vehicle, or 240V)

  • System performance and status alerts

The display provides at-a-glance information for day-to-day use.

Bluetooth connectivity

The Projecta PM335C includes Bluetooth connectivity, allowing system monitoring via a compatible mobile device using the Projecta Intelli-App.

Bluetooth monitoring provides access to:

  • Battery status and charge level

  • Charging input sources

  • General system information

Bluetooth connectivity is intended for monitoring purposes only. Some system settings may be restricted.

Bluetooth range may vary depending on device and surroundings.

System location

The Projecta PM335C unit is located inside the tool box and the 4-inch display is located at the kitchen.

Important notes

  • Always ensure the 12V isolation switch is turned ON for system operation.

  • Only connect 240V power to a suitable 15A outlet using an approved lead.

  • Keep all electrical components dry and free from damage.

  • For advanced settings, fault codes, or detailed operation, refer to the Projecta PM335C user manual supplied separately.

Power System (Seeker ST Lite & ST Models)

Seeker ST Lite and ST models are fitted with a KickAss Portable Battery Box, featuring an integrated 20A DC/DC charger and a 120Ah AGM battery. This portable system provides reliable 12V power for essential onboard accessories.

System functions

The KickAss portable power system provides:

  • 12V power supply for onboard accessories

  • DC/DC vehicle charging (20A) via Anderson plug connection

  • Battery protection and fused outputs

  • Portable design for easy removal if required

🔌Charging sources

Seeker LX & AT Models (Projecta System)

The Projecta power management system automatically manages all charging inputs. No manual switching is required.

Available charging sources:

Roof-mounted solar panel
Permanently connected and automatically regulated by the Projecta system.

Vehicle charging (Anderson plug on drawbar)
Charges the camper battery when connected to a suitably wired vehicle.
This input operates via a Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) and is designed for vehicle charging only.

240V AC power
When connected to a suitable 15A power outlet, the Projecta system charges the battery and supplies onboard power automatically.

Important – Portable Solar Use

⚠ The drawbar Anderson plug is not designed for direct connection of portable solar blankets with their own regulators.
Connecting external solar regulators to this input may interfere with correct system operation.

Any additional solar input must be compatible with the Projecta system and connected via the appropriate solar input as specified by Projecta.


Seeker ST Lite & ST Models (KickAss Battery Box)

Available charging sources:

• Vehicle charging via 20A DC/DC charger (Anderson plug)
• External 240V battery charger (if fitted)
• Portable solar blanket (using a compatible regulator)

Battery & monitoring

  • The system uses a 120Ah AGM battery housed within the portable battery box.

  • Battery status is monitored via the integrated display and indicators on the KickAss unit.

Important notes

  • Ensure the battery box is securely positioned during travel.

  • AGM batteries should not be deeply discharged—monitor charge levels regularly.

  • Keep the battery box dry and well ventilated at all times.

  • This system is 12V only and does not include a built-in 240V power management system.

System location

The KickAss portable battery box is located inside the tool box.

Battery Maintenance (All Models)

  • Regularly check the battery charge level using the fitted display, battery indicators, or mobile app (where applicable).

  • Turn off the battery system or isolation switch when the camper is not in use to reduce unnecessary power drain.

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery, as deep discharge can reduce battery performance and lifespan.

  • Keep batteries dry, clean, and well ventilated at all times.

Model-specific notes:
  • Seeker ST Light & ST models are fitted with a 120Ah AGM battery housed in a portable battery box.
  • Seeker LX & AT models are fitted with a 100Ah lithium battery managed by the Projecta PM335C system.

Solar Panel Usage

  • Seeker ST, LX and AT models are fitted with a permanently roof-mounted solar panel, designed to help maintain the battery charge during daylight hours.

    Seeker ST Light models can be fitted with an optional portable solar blanket. An Anderson plug connection is provided on the toolbox for easy connection of compatible solar blankets.

    Solar charging performance will vary depending on sunlight conditions, shading, panel cleanliness, and orientation.The 160W solar panel maintains battery charge.

Anderson Plug Connection

The Anderson plug allows connection to:

  • Your vehicle for auxiliary battery charging while driving, and
  • A portable solar blanket (where applicable).

Model-specific use:

  • Seeker ST Light models: The Anderson plug on the toolbox can be used to connect a vehicle or an optional solar blanket.

  • Seeker ST, LX and AT models: The Anderson plug is used for vehicle charging and forms part of the onboard charging system.

Ensure all Anderson plug connections are secure before use and protect cables from damage or moisture.

Water System Operation

Seeker LX & AT Models

Seeker LX and AT models are fitted with a pressurised water system powered by a 12V self-priming pump connected to the 90-litre water tank.

  • The 12V self-priming water pump is located under the sink inside the kitchen.

  • The pump is protected by its own dedicated fuse.

  • The pump is controlled via the Projecta PM335C system.

  • Important: The load must be turned ON on the Projecta display before the water pump can be switched on.

  • To test operation, turn the pump on and run water through the tap until a consistent flow is achieved.

Seeker ST Model

The Seeker ST model is fitted with a manual hand pump connected to the 90-litre water tank.

  • Operate the pump by manually pumping the handle to draw water to the tap.

  • No electrical power is required to operate the manual pump.

Seeker ST Lite Model

The Seeker ST Lite model does not include a fitted water pump or pressurised water system as standard.

Important Notes (All Models)

  • Ensure the water tank contains water before operating any pump.

  • After refilling the tank, allow a few seconds for water to begin flowing.

  • Do not operate the electric pump without water in the tank.

  • If water does not flow, check the tank level, pump fuse (LX & AT), and load status on the Projecta display.

Refrigerator Operation

Seeker ST, LX & AT Models

Seeker ST, LX and AT models are supplied with a Brass Monkey 30L compressor refrigerator, mounted on a slide-out fridge tray for easy access.

  • The refrigerator operates on 12V power, and 240V power where fitted.

  • The fridge is protected by its own dedicated fuse.

  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the fridge at all times, particularly when the tray is extended.

  • For best performance, pre-cool the fridge where possible and avoid overloading.

Note: In the event the Brass Monkey 30L refrigerator is unavailable at the time of supply, a comparable quality refrigerator may be supplied as a replacement.

Seeker ST Lite Model

The Seeker ST Lite model does not include a supplied refrigerator.
A 12V power socket is provided to allow connection of a customer-supplied portable fridge if desired.

Important Notes (All Models)

    • Do not operate the refrigerator if the power supply is disconnected or unstable.

    • Keep the fridge dry and protect electrical connections from moisture.

    • If the fridge is not operating, check the fuse, power supply, and battery charge level.

Optional Add-Ons

  • Sirocco Fans: Adjust speed and timer settings as needed.
  • Instant Shower Room: Attach securely to the side of the camper.

Aesthetic & Branding Care

  • Cleaning: Use mild detergent and water for external panels. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Sticker Care: Avoid high-pressure washing directly over stickers.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check battery connections and charge level.
  • Water System Issues: Verify pump operation and check for clogs.
  • Fridge Not Cooling: Ensure it is connected to power and temperature settings are correct.

Maintenance & Storage

  • Regularly inspect and clean the camper, especially after off-road trips.
  • Store the camper in a dry, covered area when not in use.
  • Periodically check wheel nuts, seals, and all mechanical components.

  • For issues, refer to the Warranty and Claims document or contact the support team.
